4H Program

Hawthorne Christian Academy has been fortunate to have a 4H program for the last three years. Mrs. Gilmore is the school sponsor, and they have been very active in hatching chicks, ducks, partridges, quail, and guineas. Last year HCA participated in a rabbit project, and they currently have an outdoor garden with onions, radish, broccoli, and cabbage. They are also growing indoor sunflowers and tomato plants.
